Principal Associate

Shirley Quino is a Principal Associate at the Firm, specializing in labor and social security law. She has extensive experience advising local and international companies on complex, strategic, and highly sensitive labor matters, particularly in the context of corporate reorganizations, regulatory compliance, labor relations, social security, executive compensation, and labor risk management.

Her practice focuses on designing preventive strategies and addressing complex contingencies related to hiring, workforce restructuring, high-exposure terminations, disciplinary proceedings, workplace sexual harassment matters, compensation and long-term incentive plans (including stock options, phantom shares, and other variable compensation schemes), as well as providing legal support for critical human resources decisions.

She has solid experience representing companies in inspections and sanctioning proceedings before SUNAFIL, tax and labor proceedings before SUNAT, and disputes related to social security and benefits administered by EsSalud. She also regularly participates in labor due diligence processes in M&A transactions and high-profile financings, identifying labor contingencies, participating in complex negotiations, and strategically supporting clients in highly sensitive transactions.

She has developed a specialization in artificial intelligence applied to labor and people management, with a particular focus on governance, ethics, and risk management related to the use of AI in human resources processes, people analytics, and workforce-related decision-making.

As part of the World Law Group’s International Exchange Program, she was seconded to the United Kingdom (2019), where she joined the Labor and Employment practice at Gowling WLG.
