Thaís is an Associate of the firm, specializing in environmental, administrative and mining law.

She has served as a legal analyst at the Environmental Oversight Directorate for Energy and Mines, the Directorate of Supervision and Incentives Enforcement, and the Environmental Oversight Tribunal of the Environmental Assessment and Enforcement Agency (OEFA). Prior to joining the firm, she worked as legal advisor to the Environmental Management Office of the Aruntani mining group.

Her professional practice has focused on advising companies across various sectors, with an emphasis on mining, electricity, hydrocarbons, transportation, industry, and agriculture, on matters related to both environmental and administrative law.

She has extensive experience defending clients in administrative sanctioning proceedings and engaging with environmental authorities such as OEFA, MINEM, SENACE, and ANA, among others. She has also been involved in the design and development of projects in the mining and energy sectors; the management of environmental, sector-specific, and water resource permits; the review of environmental management instruments; the implementation of environmental management strategies and compliance programs; and the assessment of environmental risks and contingencies as part of due diligence processes for financing operations, among other matters.
